The Shearl Wedding

Jenna and I first met when I was photographing her bridesmaid Courtney’s wedding (go check out the Hancock wedding while you’re here!) We met for a couple of brews and immediately hit it off—I knew then that this wedding was going to be a party for the ages.

First off, Ironclad Brewery is the coolest: the twinkling lights strung through the rafters, the humongous ceilings, and the exposed brick made it a downtown dream. The florals from Designs by Dillon were, of course, perfection. The people, though, were the best part—Jenna, Michael and their friends and family were some of the most kind, fun people you will ever meet.

Honestly, I don’t think I could possibly express how in love with this wedding I was. I am just so excited for Jenna + Michael to spend the rest of their lives together!

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Shearl!

The Ward Wedding

Susannah + Stephen are married, and oh man were all the sweat and tears getting here worth it! Belle Vue was such a beautiful ceremony space, The Terraces at Sir Tyler provided the perfect last-second reception venue, and every. little. piece. of the wedding was stunning.

With only 50 guests, the Wards had their closest family and friends with them, and the love was felt in every part of the wedding. From getting ready to the last dance at the reception, the emotion was overwhelming.

I’m so excited to share these photos with you, and I can’t wait to finish this entire gallery! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Ward!

Mr. + Mrs. Thomas: A Biltmore Wedding

Another day, another stunning wedding. Seriously…how on earth did I get so lucky to have all these amazing, creative clients?! I traveled all the way to Asheville, North Carolina to photograph Kaylie + Kevin at the incredible, unbeatable Biltmore Estate. We had a jam-packed weekend, complete with a rehearsal, welcome party, and the actual wedding which lasted until 2 a.m.!

Every detail was meticulous, every piece curated and arranged to perfection. You'll see hand-painted pieces (including the Thomas's pups popping champagne), rustic decor and elegant light fixtures. Kaylie + Kevin truly incorporated their lives and personalities into this wedding and they shone through!

Your wedding was truly one for the books; thanks, Mr. + Mrs. Thomas, for inviting me along on this adventure. Congratulations, y'all!

The LaCroix Wedding

No exaggeration…this wedding was perfection. Kat + Dan are like, super in love; the boho theme weaved throughout their wedding was executed flawlessly; the cake was amazing; and the dance floor was never empty!

There were three first looks: one with Kat's father, her brothers, and her soon-to-be husband. There were tears. There was a tiger mask (this wedding truly had everything).

They even showed their love for pups by naming each table (instead of numbers) after a close friend or family member's beloved doggos. The day, of course, couldn't have been possible without all the amazing vendors that lent a hand (listed below for y'all!)

Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. LaCroix!

The Lucroy Wedding

Sunday marked not only the start of a brand-new year, but the start of a lifetime of love for Annie and David!

It was 20 degrees outside (it felt even colder with that river wind!), but these two stuck it out all night. Some highlights of the wedding were the amazing personal details, a sparkler exit to remember, and of course…Heckler, Annie and David's dog, starring as a groomsman!

This wedding was amazing, and the perfect way to end 2017. Happy New Year, everyone…cheers!

The Suhrland Wedding

One thing I love about summer is summer weddings on the beach, complete with sand between the toes, tiki torches and beautiful couples in love!

Noel and Anthony tied the knot on August 5, and the rain left the beach just in time for their ceremony. Tears were shed, rings were exchanged, and the officiant blew on a conch shell to officially announce this new couple to the world!

It was such a lovely, intimate wedding with close family and friends, and I wish you the best as you live your lives together. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Suhrland!

Shelby + Hristo

After a super busy weekend in L.A., it was so refreshing to get back to the slower pace of coastal North Carolina. My first session back was with Shelby + Hristo and GOODNESS they blew me away with their love and beauty!

Beach sessions are some of my favorites, and this was no exception. We kicked it off in some greenery, where me and Shelby bonded over our Harry Potter tattoos (those three little stars have so much meaning!) and then hit the beach to run around in some waves!

I don't think I've ever had a couple that laughed quite as much as these two…especially when they got down and dirty in the water! This couple was up for anything I threw their way, whether it was trekking through the sound or lying down in the surf.

It was a blast to hang out with y'all, Shelby + Hristo, and I can't wait for your April wedding!! I know it'll be every bit as beautiful as you guys.

The Vaynter Wedding | Los Angeles

I may be a Texas girl…but a couple weeks ago I think California stole my heart.

July 1, I had the amazing opportunity to join Dan + Alisa for their huge, gorgeous Los Angeles wedding! Two families of two religions came together to celebrate, and the result was two ceremonies so that all of their traditions could be honored!

Between the Catholic and Jewish ceremonies, the newlyweds and I broke off for an intimate couples session in some of the most stunning gardens I've ever seen. Dan + Alisa's love for each other shines so, SO bright and getting to capture it was a dream.

Every part of this day was so unique, and didn't end at the ceremonies…the reception had nonstop food, drink (and especially partying). The band was a blast, the MC was bombastic, and the dance floor wasn't empty for a second.

I could talk about this wedding for hours (I'm pretty sure I did when describing it to my mom) because of how incredible it was! I have been working hard on these previews, and I'm so pumped to be able to share them now—congrats, Dan + Alisa!!

Jennifer + Dylan

Jennifer and Dylan were my last engagement session while I was home in Dallas a few weeks ago...and goodness were they showstoppers! We met at White Rock Lake and explored the area with their two Aussies, Riley and Cali. If you know me you know I am OBSESSED with dogs, so these sweethearts had me on cloud 9!

It was an overcast day, but the sun peeked through at the PERFECT time, and we were able to get incredible photos with sunbeams streaming through the trees.

This stunning couple was nothing but smiles and laughs, and their love for each other (and their entire little family) was radiating our entire session. I'm so pumped to finally be sharing these (it was so hard picking just a few to post!)

Congratulations on your engagement, Jennifer and Dylan...I can't WAIT for your wedding next year!

The Farmer Wedding

Saturday evening, Lindsey Clowers and Luke Farmer finally got married!! They held an intimate ceremony on the beach (only around a dozen guests!), had their reception on their beach house porch and let's be real y'all...this wedding was as fun, incredible and full of love as a wedding with 200 guests.

Lindsey walked down the aisle to "Goodnight Julia" from the show Cowboy Bebop (can I get a shout out from my fellow nerds over here??) and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. The love these two share is so special and unique; it's hard to find someone who matches you perfectly, and Luke and Lindsey have definitely found it!

Thanks so much for letting me share in your day, Mr. and Mrs. Farmer, and I wish you an amazing future together. Congratulations, y'all!
